Daily Summary
The Ride
Stacie saw me off this morning. It had rained and the roads were wet for a while, which ensured our freshly cleaned bikes got filthy early…
But the temperatures were great and it was sunny for almost the whole time. We got to ride on a number of trails and the roads we hit were mostly very nice too.
Overall, a successful day with just seconds below 6 hours of pedaling.
The Sights
We left and went by lake Monona through some neighborhoods with awesome houses. They were older neighborhoods where every house was different even down to a range of building materials.
I got pictures of the variety of trails we hit. Some paved, some gravel, some dirt. All nice.
I also got pictures of a couple of the lakes that some of the smaller towns were on. There were some very nice towns we passed through. I think they would be great to hang out in … for the warm months at least.
The Food
One of our rest areas was at a gas station. I smelled smoke and found that they had a young lady grilling sausage outside. So, I couldn’t resist a bratwurst to go with my candy bar.
Otherwise pretty uneventful. We had an Italian dinner.
